Description

The Laygel Mattress contains a layer of responsive laygel foam which is similar to the material Geltex used by companies such as Silentnight and Sealy. It is soft and comfortable, hugging your curves as you sleep, making it similar to memory foam, but it reacts much more quickly and is slightly firmer. It has a bit more 'bounce' too.

The way that laygel reacts gives other advantages over memory foam too. Memory foam tends to retain body heat, which causes it to form an impression of your body until the foam has had a chance to cool down. This makes it frustrating for some people who find that the indentations are a little too restrictive, almost fighting against their natural instincts when changing sleeping position. Laygel is bouncy as opposed to spongy and the way it quickly reacts leaves you free to roll over and change positions with ease.

Laygel remains cooler than memory foam as you lie on it, but doesn't quite reach the performance of Cool Blue Memory Foam. This is great for most people, especially on warmer nights, but especially warm sleepers should consider the Cool Blue Mattress.

Laygel relieves pressure by maximising the level of contact between your body and the mattress, soothing your muscles and helping to promote healthy blood circulation. Pressure points are traditionally formed where the heaviest parts of the body, such as the hips, contact the mattress. Taking the brunt of your body weight on these areas leads to aches and pains, but the laygel helps to distribute this weight evenly and prevent these issues.

Beneath the laygel you'll find a reliable and robust layer of orthopedic foam. This ensures that whilst the laygel comfort layer does its job, your body is supported by the firmness of the base layer underneath.

If you would like to further customise your mattress, you can change the mattress tension to firm, adjust the overall depth, and upgrade the cover to quilted for that extra level of luxury.
