    Beautiful bedding

Struggling to sleep as well as you used to? Or simply struggle to sleep at all? Here are some great tips you can utilise to help achieve a perfect duvet day to finally attain a good night’s rest.

One of the most obvious parts (yet essential) is the bedding. Got a quality mattress? If not, it may be time to start searching for one. If you’re looking to spend some quality time on your own this weekend, it really comes down to some good linen. Whether you’re a lover of blues, creams, greys or vibrant hues, be sure to make it soft so you can sink in with total comfort.

We recommend using plush pillows, faux fur throws or blankets, mattress pads to cushion your pressure points, and comforters to help you rest a little easier. These can be bought from any local supermarket or bargain store and are actually value for money in the long run as most of us live busy lives, meaning we won’t actually use these items as often.

    Delightful Duvets

Choosing the wrong duvet can be a complete atrocity as you may get jumbled up within the covers, causing too much heat, which results in sweating, which will therefore result in bacteria and dust mites prancing with joy. It’s good to select a duvet that is the correct temperature for you, ensure that it’s not too hot, not too cold but just right.

    Perfect Pillows

Proper pillows are the centrepiece to having a great duvet day. Obviously you won’t spend the entire time sleeping, so it’s good to have pillows to help read, relax and to prop up to watch some Netflix on the TV. Pillows are essential for neck support, so opting for the right one should most certainly be taken into account.

    Set the Scene

Being able to set the scene is almost as vital as it is to opt for comfy bedding. By using a few scented candles or diffuser sticks, you’ll be able to unwind and relax, creating a serene atmosphere. Be sure to use soft smelling scents as you don’t want to clog up your sense of smell. What’s more is if you’re not one for crazy scents, look into oils and humidifiers that can help open up the stuffiness of rooms and make way for cleaner, humid air to help you breathe.

    Layers of Luxury

If you’re one of those people that love being warm and toasty whilst in bed (who doesn’t!), it may be ideal to add some extra layers to your bed. Opt for an endless amount of luxury cushions and throws that you can treat your bed to. It may also be ideal to look for soft touch rugs for the bedroom carpet, dimmer lights and luxury blankets, although these can be quite pricey.

Here at Linthorpe Beds, we know how important it is to kick back and tuck yourself into bed after a long day, giving you essential time to re-energise and recuperate from the turbuelence of the previous day. Ensure that you take the time to prep a little and focus on luxury and relaxation to achieve ultimate comfort.
